New hair? :D

<- Thoughts?

Okay, so everyone has had a moment when they think what they'd look like with a new hairdo right?
Holding your hair up at the back to make it look like a fringe, covering the ends up to see what it'd look like short...yep! been there, done that!
But no, I didn't dye my hair brown...or get it cut...or get it permed for that matter!
There are free virtual makeovers over at iVillage...all you have to do is sign up (free) ..they send me emails every so often - not sure if it is optional but anyway...
You get to upload your picture and experiment with hair, makeup etc. without going out and actually changing anything!
Have fun with it!

buzzzzzz

I recently tried out LUSH's honey bee bath bomb!
I got it as a gift and was excited as I have happily used the Honey I Washed the Kids soap before..so had quite high expectations for this...

It looked pretty, smelled gorgeous but as for its effects....
it didn't really do much....it probably softened my skin a little, but nothing so amazing that I have to go buy myself another one!

It didn't turn the water a funky colour either...but that's what the crazy-coloured ones are for! :D
I'm not complaining as I got this from a friend but hey! Just a quick review...
Lush say:
Honey Bee
For a soothing, extra cleansing, sweetly scented soak. Honey Bee smells like caramel, much like Honey I Washed The Kids soap and Soft Coeur massage bar do. Honey Bee holds its own special distinction though; in addition to soothing honey, it has Moroccan Rhassoul mud to deep cleanse and soften your skin. The world's best spas offer honey or mud baths on their menus; now you can have both in one go, for roughly 1% of the cost.

It's only £2.76 in the UK which is an okay price but I wouldn't reccomend you go rush to your closest LUSH to get one!

Speaking of LUSH, today I popped into one of their stores and got a free sample of the solid shampoo "The Blonde"...it's supposed to bring out the lighter shades of blonde in your hair but people with other hair colours can use it too..the woman (who had dark brown hair I guess) said she has used it and it made her hair more brown and even a little reddish...

So it's not dye, but brings out the prettiness of your hair...haven't tried it yet but will post once I have! We'll see how it turns out :-)

ttyl ladies!
Stay fabulous!

Leave it till later?

Relating back to my previous post, I mentioned how I don't think I will wear sheer chiffons at my age for the moment.
Don't get me wrong, teenagers have every right to be fashion-forward but, if we wear everything now...what will we have to look forward to?
For me, I think I look a little silly if I put e.g. red lipstick on. I love the look of red lips but they just look so much more sophisticated and classy when you are an adult! If I wear red lippy now it may look a little 'lamb dressed as mutton' unless I do it realllllly well and don't overdo the eyes :S
Also, I think pencil skirts are so beautiful and give your body gorgeous curves but at 15...it's a little much for me..I am super excited to wear them for work when I'm older though!
I'm not saying don't do it..cos on the other hand, why the hell not?!
..I'm just sharing my opinions...
What are you girls' thoughts?

Don't be cutting me off

I know its practically winter but how cute are cut-offs!
I get the ELLE newsletter in my email and it included an article about how celebs are wearing chiffon and sheer materials...
there was one photo of Alexa Chung:
Her sheer black top does look stunning but personally I am more intigued by her sexy denim shorts!
I love the contrast between her black blouse ensemble but for me, I think I'll wear that sort of thing when I am older.
The denim cut offs however are so wearable! Perfect for Summer, yes. But also could look cute with tights? (Some people HATE shorts with tights, but in my opinion they look cool together and quirky too, if the tights are patterned :)
Some time in the future when I get round to making my own pair of cut offs from some old jeans, I'll do a post...in the meantime youtube have plenty of tutorials on DIY.
Also a quick mention to how stylish and chic Alexa always looks. She makes it seem so effortless!

Gone fishing?

Hey again!

I've wanted to know how to do a fishtail plait for some time now and I learnt how to do it just a while ago today!

I was on twitter and AnnaSaccone (thestylediet from youtube - don't know her? check out her style channel! She rocks!) tweeted 'omg!!! finally somebody has taught me how to do this!!! :) :) :) http://bit.ly/3aE4RF

So I followed the link and it was a fishtail
plait and I totally understood the explanation! :D

Here's how it came out...
It's not perfect and I didn't really get it the first time round but I kept trying and tadaaa! Ooohlala!
I like it messy so I don't feel the need to perfect it 100%

If you are interested in how to do this hairstyle and others check out http://www.youtube.com/user/Foxylocksextensions

It's such a fun way to spice up a regular plait and it's perfect for bad hair days (when you have time though-it's not the fastest hairstyle ever - especially for long haired people)!
